First Nations Fight Night: Rounds in the Ring

On April 11, 2025, Fortitude Boxing hosted its First Nations Fight Night: "Rounds in the Ring" at the Tivoli Theatre in Brisbane. This event was a significant occasion, serving as a platform to celebrate skill, determination, and Indigenous excellence in boxing.

The night featured over 15 First Nations fighters from across Queensland, delivering high-energy and intense action. The main event saw Mariah Turner face Leah Reuben for the Australasian Super Featherweight Title, with Turner ultimately securing a unanimous decision victory.

The night also saw Riley Allan make his pro debut on the big stage - an Indigenous warrior stepping in with heart, pride and serious power. He threw down with Wyatt Kraemer on the Mariah Turner vs Leah Reuben undercard.

Beyond the competitive bouts, "Rounds in the Ring" aimed to empower Indigenous athletes, providing them with a space to compete, grow, and inspire their communities. The event emphasised supporting Indigenous athletes, their families, and the broader community, helping to create opportunities for aspiring fighters to pursue their dreams in the boxing world.
