Wyllie vs Kambosos Jr

George Kambosos Jr. secured a unanimous decision victory over Fortitude’s own Jake Wyllie in their super lightweight bout held in Sydney, Australia.

Jake Wyllie, who stepped in as a late replacement on just five days' notice, put up a very game performance and impressed many observers by lasting the full 12 rounds against the former unified lightweight champion. Despite the short preparation, Wyllie had his moments, particularly in the later rounds, and even caused a cut above Kambosos' left eye due to an accidental headbutt in the ninth round.

Kambosos wasn't able to secure a knockout against the resilient Wyllie. Post-fight, both fighters expressed respect for each other, with Kambosos acknowledging Wyllie's toughness and Wyllie stating he felt "destined for great things" after his strong showing. Wyllie's performance was so commendable that Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn reportedly offered him a contract.
