The Fortitude Amateur Boxing Team will over the next 12 months be travelling overseas and interstate as our young boxers represent Queensland, Australia and Fortitude in competitions across the State, Australia and the Globe! But it’s not free! They fund their own travel!
Under the guidance of elite trainers, headed by Australia’s own Conor Wallace, currently ranked #2 World Light Heavyweight, we have 32 Men and Women from all walks fo life training at Fortitude Boxing reparing to fight at the Tivoli Theatre on September 27th. They need your support! You can go along and watch with a great line up of Pro Boxers headed by Jimmie 2 Shoes, Ryan Davidson, and emerging Pro’s Theo Thompson & Cody Renouf, It’s going to be a blockbuster of an afternoon of non stop action and entertainment. 2 months out and all the VIP Tables and seats have SOLD OUT! FFFAC 26 - Clement Mukisa
When John told me about the program, he explained that my participation would help raise funds for the Fortitude Amateur Team. That simply gave me a sense of purpose. Instead of just training for a fight, I would be contributing to a program that supports local amateur athletes by helping provide the resources, opportunities, and support they need to develop and compete. Knowing that my involvement could make a real difference to the team and the wider boxing community made it an easy decision to get involved. It felt like an opportunity to challenge myself physically and mentally while also giving back to a sport and community that invests in people and helps them grow.

FFFAC 26 - Ewen Burg
Jumping in the ring, knowing each wrong move carries an instant consequence, provides for a real test of self and character. At 44, the joints are creaking and the old injuries are ever-present. So, I thought, let's give this a red hot crack and see what this old man can muster. Overcome the adversity and keep pushing forward, towards victory and an understanding that if you put your mind to it and really commit, you can accomplish anything. And the sense of accomplishment and achievement throughout that process is priceless.
