Fortitude Fighters Head to New Zealand for Huge BX-9 Showdown
Fortitude Boxing will have two of its own stepping onto the international stage on Thursday, 31 July, with “Princess” Leah Reuben and Riley Allan both set to fight in Auckland, New Zealand on the BX-9 card at Eventfinda Stadium.
It is a massive opportunity for both fighters, with Leah taking on Saskia Elliott in the super bantamweight division and Riley moving into the prestigious semi-finals of the BX-9 Welterweight Championship. With both athletes representing Fortitude away from home, the entire gym will be behind them as they prepare for another big night of boxing.
“Princess” Leah Reuben returns to the ring for a huge 10 x 2 minute contest against New Zealand’s Saskia Elliott. Coming off her Australian Super Bantamweight Title win at Young Guns 2, Leah has continued to build momentum and is heading into this next challenge with confidence, class and the same work ethic that has made her one of Fortitude’s most exciting fighters to watch.
Riley Allan will also be flying the Fortitude flag when he takes on Paul Tonga in an 8 x 3 minute welterweight bout. This fight marks the semi-final stage of the BX-9 Welterweight Championship, making it a huge moment in Riley’s professional journey. After earning his place in the tournament with a strong performance in the quarter-finals, Riley now has the chance to move one step closer to the BX-9 title.
